“Manzana 184” is a residential community located in the central area of Tulum. It was designed to meet the needs of digital nomads who choose Tulum as their new home for some time. Since these nomads can work from home, it was important that the apartments be small but that users could feel connected to the outside and natural elements. To achieve this, large floor-to-ceiling windows and monumental perimeter terraces were projected. This way, users can always have an outdoor space to interact with nature and the community of Tulum.
The geometric elements enable solar protection towards the interior and encourage more pleasant and healthy spaces for its inhabitants by integrating vegetation. The aesthetics of the building propose a dialogue between regular and circular elements with other more organic elements that incorporate an essence of integration with the natural environment and the freedom of Tulum.
